Lady Captain Mrs Jean Abbott of Leyland Golf Club has nominated Baby Beat as her chosen charity for 2011. Over her twelve months in position, Jean will be involved in a number of events to raise funds for our Appeal.

Sponsored Head Shave - Parkfield Labour Club, Fulshaw Road - Friday 4 February - 8.30pm
Fundraisers Lizzie Lay and Tanya Milson are planning to shave off their locks in aid of The Appeal. Also planned is a grand raffle.
Charity Bake - 7B Pupils at Broughton Business & Enterprise College - Wednesday 9 February
Four pupils, Olivia Smith, Shelby Jayne Altham, Niamh Hewertson, Elizabeth Horton supported Baby Beat by baking and selling cakes to pupils and staff during their break time at school.
St Anthony's After School & Breakfast Club - Thursday 17 February
Children and staff from the club will be taking part in a sponsored silence or dance to raise funds for The Appeal.

Sponsorship - Tile Mart - Chosen Charity of the Year
Baby Beat are extremely fortunate to have been nominated as Tile Mart's chosen charity of the year. We are looking forward to our partnership over the next year starting with the unveiling of the Sir Tom Finney mosaic to commemorate the opening of the new Tile Mart superstore in Queen Street, Preston www.tilemart.co.uk.
'A Reet Good Lancashire Evening' - Leyland Golf Club - Thursday 3 March
Baby Beat's major fundraiser, Vincent Slater has organised this fun packed evening which will include entertainment from Norman Prince (ex Houghton Weavers) and Paul Johnston (ex Five Penny Pieces). Wedding Fair - Leyland Golf Club - Sunday 20 March - 12noon to 4pm
Organised by Vince Slater of Slater's Catering, in partnership with InStyle Venues. Spectacular Wedding Fair with everything you need for your forthcoming wedding including catwalk show at 2pm.

"An Evening of Entertainment" - St Wilfred's Club, Longridge - Friday 25 March
Organised by Sarah Hardacre, this evening looks set to be fun filled with Abba tribute band, Rat Pack singer Kevin Holland, plus many more artistes. Tickets priced at only £5 with only a limited number left - available from Sarah - 07817 314216 or St Wilfred's Club, Longridge.
Gala Bingo Preston - Nominated Charity of the Year
We are extremely are extremely fortunate to have been chosen as Gala's nominated charity for the following year. The staff at Gala will be organising a range of fundraising events to raise funds for Baby Beat, which will include dress down days, disco, staff cabaret, sponsored walks, raffles to name but a few.

London Marathon - David Cattanach - Sunday 17 April - 'In Memory of Baby George David Lloyd'

Easter Sunday Family Fun - Guys Thatched Hamlet at Bilsborrow - Sunday 24 April - 11am-5pm
A fun filled family day with Egg Rolling, Easter Bunny Egg Hunt, Punch and Judy Magic Show, Donkey Rides, Face Painting, Easter Egg Decoration, Easter Bonnet Parade (bring along your Easter bonnet and join in the parade to win a great prize), Children's' Rides and Giant Inflatables, Charity Crown Green Bowling Competition, Music Roadshow by Darrell Edwards plus much much more! Baby Beat's major fundraiser, Sandra Allan is once again organising this fun packed mini break, with all proceeds going to our special project, the refurbishment of the family bereavement room.

Annual Charity Golf Tournament with Mark Lawrenson - Monday 19 September - Leyland Golf Club
The golf event of the year with Match of the Day Pundit/Baby Beat Vice Patron, Mark Lawrenson is always a popular event in the Baby Beat calendar. The event will commence at 11.30am with light lunch, followed by a shotgun start, 4 course gala dinner to follow, with comedian and trophy presentations from Lawro. Price: £250 per team.

We are extremely fortunate to have been chosen as Garstang United Reformed Church's nominated charity commencing October 2011.
