LITTLE TED'S APPEAL raising funds to soundproof two rooms on the Delivery Suite at the Sharoe Green Maternity Unit.  The Appeal needs £25,000 to carry out the necessary work and we need our community's help to make this happen.

Thomas Edward Davis (TED) was born sleeping at 38 weeks on the 17th March 2015. Thomas's Father,Spencer Davis is the driving force and founder of The Appeal and has pledged to raise the funds required.  To read more about Little Ted's Appeal and Spencer's story please see our Events page - MAY.

Mayoral Dinner (Organised by Penwortham Town Council)

Held at Farington Lodge on Monday 28th January. Guest speakers: Mr Sean Hughes and Comedian Ted Robbins. Includes Five Course Gala Dinner Tickets : 30 (27.50 per person for tables of 10) Available from The Baby Beat Office or by calling 01772 316441.

Baby Beat Winter Ball - Friday 29 February 2008, 7.30pm

Being held at Barton Grange Hotel, on Garstang Road in Preston, the evening will kick off with a champagne reception. Easter Raffle

Organised by Denise Kane at Halifax Estate Agents, Bamber Bridge.

Sponsored Walk from PNE to Blackpool FC - Saturday 15th March 2008

Organised by Clark Steele and Darren Lynch. A team of friends are attempting to walk from PNE to Blackpool FC. Setting off at midnight, the boys hope to reach their destination by the start of the game on Saturday.

Wacky Warehouse Fun Days - Easter Weekend - Saturday 22 to Monday 24 March

At the Phantom Winger, Garstang Road, Broughton. Bring the children and have a great Easter time with face painting, games, balloon making, raffle, bouncy castle, name the teddy bear and much more! From 11am - 6pm.

"A True Lancashire Evening" - Friday 28th March 2008

Starts at 7pm at St Teresa's Community Centre, Crookings Lane, Penwortham. To include: hotpot supper, entertainment by Mike Turner (as George Formby), Penfolk Duo and Comedian Compere Rob Mason. Organised by Penwortham Mayoral Office.

London Marathon - 13 April 2008

Beat the Goalie - 21 to 25 April 2008

The children of Queen's Drive are taking part in a penalty shoot out against the Deepdale Duck. They will get sponsors in order to raise money for The Baby Beat Appeal.

At Tino's Restaurant, Hill Street, Preston - 7.30pm. An evening of Live Music with Tino's famous Gourmet Buffet and DJ. Organised by Cornel Sampson. Tickets : 12.

Charity Football Match - Wednesday 7 May 2008

North West Army Recruiters v North West Ambulance Service. 7pm kick off at Leyland FC Football Ground with FREE ENTRANCE. Sir Tom Finney will be attending to kick the teams off. There will also be an auction and grand raffle in the bar after the match.

Ladies Day at Royal Ascot - 18 June 2008

Sandra Allen has organised this extremely popular event again for the Baby Beat Appeal.

Departs on 18 June 2008 and includes coach travel throughout, two nights dinner, bed and breakfast at the four star Hilton Watford. Ladies Day at Royal Ascot with admission to the Grand Stand is also included, as is a visit to Oxford.

BEA Charity Golf Event - Thursday 11 September 2008

For the 3rd year running, BEA - Construction Consultants,have kindly offered to organise this event at Ormskirk Golf Club. The competing golfers will be 'tee-ed off' by Baby Beat's Patron, Sir Tom Finney.

Parachute Jump - 5th October 2008

Eight people will be taking part in this event in aid of Baby Beat. Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service - Carol Service - Wednesday 10th December 2008

Each year the Service Headquarters Welfare Club nominate two charities to raise funds for and The Baby Beat Appeal are extremely fortunate to be one of their chosen charities for this year. As part of the venture, Baby Beat has been invited to perform a reading at Blackburn Cathedral.
