LITTLE TED'S APPEAL raising funds to soundproof two rooms on the Delivery Suite at the Sharoe Green Maternity Unit.  The Appeal needs £25,000 to carry out the necessary work and we need our community's help to make this happen.

Thomas Edward Davis (TED) was born sleeping at 38 weeks on the 17th March 2015. Thomas's Father,Spencer Davis is the driving force and founder of The Appeal and has pledged to raise the funds required.  To read more about Little Ted's Appeal and Spencer's story please see our Events page - MAY.

This fantastic play is set in a Mother and Baby Home in 1964 in the north of England.† Be My Baby follows the fortunes of Mary Adams, aged†19, unmarried and seven months pregnant,†she is forcibly sent to the home by her mother intent on keeping up appearances.† Mary, along with the other girls in the home, has to cope†both with the shame and with the dawning realisation that she will have to give the baby up for adoption whether she likes it or not.† Despite this -†and an overbearing matron - the girls' youthful effervescence will keep breaking through, as they sing along to the girl-group songs of the period.†††
